Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 Purpose
The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to stipulate the conditions and procedures for use of all services provided by the Seoul National University Research Institute of Nursing Science (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute”), rights, obligations and responsibilities between the Institute and members, and other necessary matters.
Article 2 Effect and change of terms and conditions
1. These terms and conditions become effective when they are posted through the service or notified to members through other means. 2. If unavoidable circumstances or reasonable reasons arise, the Institute may change the terms and conditions without prior notice, and this will take effect in the same manner as in the preceding paragraph. 3. The Institute will notify members of the changed terms and conditions in the same manner as in Paragraph 1, and unless otherwise specified, the changed terms and conditions will take effect from the time the member is notified of the changed terms and conditions. 4. If a member does not agree to the changed terms and conditions, he or she may request withdrawal from membership. If a member continues to use the service after the effective date of the changed terms and conditions, he or she is deemed to have agreed to the changed terms and conditions.
Article 3 Terms and Conditions and Other Rules
1. Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the provisions of the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act and other related laws. 2. The institute may determine detailed details of individual services, and the details will be announced through the service usage guide.
Article 4 Definition of Terms
1. The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows. ① ‘Member’ refers to a person who agrees to the Institute’s terms and conditions, receives a user ID and password, and enters into a service use agreement. ② ‘Sign up’ means that a person who wishes to become a member agrees to these terms and conditions, fills out the necessary information in the institute’s service use application form, subscribes to a service use agreement, and obtains approval from the institute. ③ ‘ID’ refers to the member’s unique name determined by a combination of letters or numbers to confirm the member’s identity in case a member of the institute wishes to use the service. ④ ‘Password’ refers to a combination of letters and numbers determined by the member and shared with the research institute to ensure the member’s identity when applying for service use using an ID. ⑤ ‘Operator’ refers to a person selected by the research institute for the overall management and smooth operation of the service. ⑥ ‘Withdrawal’ refers to a member terminating the service use contract due to expiration of the period or other reasons. 2. The definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions, except those set forth in Paragraph 1, shall be governed by relevant laws and service-specific guidance.
Chapter 2 Membership Registration
Article 5 Establishment of membership registration
1. Membership registration is established by the institute’s approval of the user’s application for membership and the user’s agreement to the terms and conditions. 2. Users who wish to become members must provide personal information requested by the institute. 3. In principle, membership registration is done with one ID per member.
Article 6 Establishment of service agreement
1. “Do you agree to the Terms of Use?” If a member clicks the “Agree” button when asked when applying for use, he or she is deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions. 2. The use contract is established when the institute approves the application for use made after the person wishing to use the service agrees to the terms of use.
Article 7 Restrictions on membership registration
1. The Institute may refuse or cancel membership for applications that fall under any of the following items, and users who have not registered under their real names cannot claim any rights. ① If an application is made using other person’s name ② If the membership registration information is falsely entered ③ If the application is made for the purpose of disrupting social order and morals ④ If other application requirements set by the research institute are insufficient ⑤ In the case of individual applicants, approval may not be granted if the applicant is under 14 years of age. ⑥ In case of engaging in an act prohibited by the Framework Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, the Information and Communications Ethics Committee Deliberation Regulations, the Information and Communications Code of Ethics, the Program Protection Act, and other related laws and terms and conditions. ⑦ If there is a history of criminal punishment or refusal to use the institute's services for reasons falling under item 6. ⑧ When using this service for profit-seeking or fraudulent purposes ⑨ When applying in violation of other stipulated matters
Article 8 Changes to member information
If the user information provided at the time of application for use changes, the member must correct it online. The user is responsible for any problems that arise due to failure to make changes.
Chapter 3 Service Use
Article 9 Service provision
1. In principle, the service is provided 24 hours a day unless there is a special problem with the laboratory's business or technology. However, the service may be temporarily suspended without prior notice after prior notice for reasons such as regular inspection, equipment maintenance, service interruption due to basic telecommunications carriers under the Telecommunications Business Act, or due to force majeure such as natural disasters. 2. The Institute may restrict or suspend all or part of the service if an interruption occurs in the provision of the service due to unavoidable reasons such as a national emergency, power outage, service facility failure, or excessive use of the service. We are not responsible for any loss of transmission or other communication data.
Article 10 Provision of information and posting of advertisements
1. Information on the member's use of the service and various events of the institute may be provided to the member via email or other means. 2. Users who wish to use the institute's services are deemed to have agreed to the posting of advertisements on the service screen, homepage, email, SMS, and letter mail. 3. Any communication or transaction, such as when a member uses an advertisement posted on the service or participates in the advertiser's promotional activities through the service, is entirely a matter between the member and the advertiser. If a problem arises between a member and an advertiser, the member and the advertiser must resolve it directly, and the institute bears no responsibility in this regard. 4. The research institute may use member information for the purpose of providing members with a wider range of information services and related benefits, such as community services, employment information, and TM marketing. In addition, when providing member information to an affiliate, the institute notifies the affiliated company, purpose, and the contents of the member information to be used in advance and obtains the member's consent. If you do not want the institute to use a member's personal information or provide personal information to an affiliate, each member must not use a specific service or participate in a specific type of promotion or event. You may refuse services that are not provided. 5. The Institute may prepare and use aggregate statistical data regarding the personal information of all or part of its members in connection with its work. Additionally, the research institute may transmit cookies to members' computers when providing services. In this case, members can refuse to receive cookies or change the browser settings on their computer to warn about receiving cookies. 6. If a member requests to view or correct his or her personal information by visiting or writing, by phone, e-mail, electronic signature, etc., or by using a user ID, etc., the Institute will confirm the identity of the member and take necessary measures without delay. I'm drunk. When a member's representative visits and requests inspection or correction, the Institute verifies whether the member's representative is truly the representative. In this case, the research institute may require you to present proof of the agency relationship.
Article 11 Management of member postings
1. The Institute may delete content posted or registered by a member without prior notice if it determines that it falls under any of the following. ① If the content violates public order and morals ② If the content is recognized as being consistent with a criminal act ③ If the content damages the reputation of an individual or organization by slandering others or slandering others. ④ If the content infringes on other people’s copyrights or other rights. ⑤ When the posting period stipulated by the research institute is exceeded ⑥ In case of posts that do not fit the nature of the bulletin board ⑦ If the content violates other relevant laws or regulations established by the research institute. 2. Copyright for all posts on this site belongs to the research institute, unless otherwise stated between the parties in advance. 3. Posts are protected by the research institute, and use or citation of posts by others on other sites without the institute's permission is prohibited.
Chapter 4 Restrictions on service use and membership withdrawal
Article 12 Restrictions on service use
1. The Institute may restrict members’ use of the service without prior notice in the following cases. ① In case of stealing another person’s ID and password ② When directly or indirectly related to criminal activity ③ In case of damaging the reputation of others or causing disadvantage ④ Cases that are against public order and morals ⑤ In case of hindering sound use, such as causing harm to the service ⑥ When collecting and storing other users’ personal information without obtaining approval from the research institute. ⑦ If the information obtained from the service is copied for purposes other than the member's use of the service without the consent of the institute, used for publishing or broadcasting, or provided to a third party. ⑧ When impersonating a management team, employee, or official of the research institute ⑨ In case of violation of other relevant laws or conditions of use established by the research institute
Article 13 Withdrawal of membership
If a member wishes to withdraw, the member may cancel the contract by withdrawing membership in the member information section.
Chapter 5 Obligations
Article 14 Obligations of the Institute 1. The research institute allows users to use the services they have applied for, unless there are special circumstances. 2. The Institute has an obligation to provide continuous and stable services in accordance with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. 3. The institute does not disclose or distribute members’ personal information to others without their consent. However, exceptions may be made in cases where there is a request from a state agency, etc. pursuant to relevant laws and regulations, or when it is necessary to protect personal safety. 4. The institute may share personal information with business partners, but in this case, members will be notified in advance. 5. When notifying members, the Institute may use the e-mail address or SMS registered by the member. 6. If an opinion or complaint raised by a member is deemed justified, the institute must immediately process the matter. However, if immediate processing is difficult, the member will be notified of the reason and processing schedule.
Article 15 Member Obligations
1. Members are responsible for all management of their member ID and password. The research institute is not responsible for unauthorized use or other accidents caused by negligence in management. 2. Member ID and password cannot be transferred, rented, or lent to another person without the consent of the institute. 3. If the member's ID has been used illegally, the member must notify the institute. 4. Members must comply with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions and relevant laws and regulations.
Chapter 6 Damage Compensation and Disclaimer
Article 16 Compensation for damages The Institute is not responsible for any damage incurred by members while using the services provided unless it is caused by the Institute's intention or gross negligence. Article 17 Disclaimer 1. If the institute is unable to provide services due to natural disasters or other force majeure, the institute is exempt from liability for service provision. 2. The Institute is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, etc. of the information and materials posted by members on the service. 3. The Institute is not responsible for any disruption in service use due to the member's fault. 4. The member is fully responsible for any damage resulting from carelessness in the management and use of the member ID and password, or for misuse by a third party.
Article 18 Competent Court
1. If there is a dispute regarding personal information, the Institute and its members may apply for mediation of the dispute to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee for prompt and effective dispute resolution. 2. If a lawsuit is filed regarding a dispute that arises while using the service, the court with jurisdiction over the location of the institute's headquarters shall be the competent court.
Chapter 7 Others
Article 19 Copyright
1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights regarding services created by the research institute belong to the research institute. 2. Rights and responsibilities for posts belong to the publisher. However, the Institute has the right to publish the above-mentioned posts within the service and the right to process and edit posts created using the Institute's services, and the member who posted the post is deemed to have consented to this. 3. Users must not use the information obtained while using the service for commercial purposes by copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting or other methods without prior consent from the institute.
